Restaurant Review: News Café, Pizza & Bar – Vilamoura Marina 🇵🇹

🌊 A lovely dining experience overlooking the marina

If you’re looking for a pleasant dining experience with beautiful views across Vilamoura Marina, News Café, Pizza & Bar is certainly worth considering.

🍤 The food

During my visit, I ordered the prawn curry, served in an impressive, solid copper pot with a matching lid. The curry came separately from the rice and crispy poppadom, allowing me to serve myself just the way I wanted.

The curry contained approximately nine generously sized prawns, making for a satisfying meal. The rice was cooked very well and complemented the curry nicely.

One detail I particularly appreciated was the copper serving pot. It was substantial and beautifully presented, and the matching lid helped keep the curry warm throughout the meal. I could serve myself a portion at a time, replace the lid and enjoy my food at a relaxed pace without feeling rushed.

🍷 A pleasant wine pairing

To accompany my meal, I enjoyed an Invincible Douro Red Wine, 2019 harvest. It was a lovely addition to the meal and rounded off the dining experience nicely.

🍨 Dessert – A refreshing finish

To finish my meal, I enjoyed raspberry ice cream served in a tall, solid copper glass — another distinctive copper presentation that caught my eye. The dessert was topped with a lovely fresh raspberry, with blueberries served alongside, adding a fresh and colourful finishing touch.

It was a refreshing way to round off the meal, and the elegant presentation continued the restaurant’s distinctive attention to detail.

🌅 The setting and atmosphere

I chose to dine on the veranda, overlooking the beautiful marina and its impressive collection of yachts. It’s a wonderful setting to sit back, enjoy your meal and take in the atmosphere of Vilamoura.

The restaurant also offers indoor seating, so there is a choice depending on your preference and the weather.

News Café, Pizza & Bar appears to be a very popular spot and is often busy. I would recommend booking a table in advance, particularly if you would like to enjoy a seat overlooking the marina.

A popular marina-side restaurant with a lovely location, an appealing presentation and a relaxed atmosphere. The generously sized prawns, well-cooked rice, distinctive copper serving dishes, accompanying Douro red wine and beautifully presented raspberry ice cream all contributed to a very pleasant dining experience.

If you’re spending time around Vilamoura Marina and looking for somewhere to enjoy a meal with a view, this is one to consider.
