🍴 FOOD EXPLORER REVIEW — PIRATA, VILAMOURA 🇵🇹
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A restaurant where the whole family can enjoy the experience!
I first visited Pirata in Vilamoura back in 2023, and it was an experience worth remembering. This is much more than simply going out for a meal — it’s a place where the children can have fun while the adults sit back and enjoy their food.
One of the things that makes Pirata special is its family-friendly setting around the swimming pool. There’s a large pool for the children, a separate baby pool, and even a trampoline. There are also changing facilities, making it particularly convenient for families with young children.
The restaurant area is positioned around the pool, with shaded seating where parents can enjoy their meal while still keeping an eye on the kids. There’s also a bar serving a good selection of drinks — perfect for enjoying something while waiting for your table. 🍹
🥩 THE FOOD
On my visit, I enjoyed a large sirloin steak with chips and mushroom sauce. The steak was succulent, tender and full of flavour — beautifully soft and, as I remember describing it at the time, “like butter.” 😋
And the price was just €18.50, which I thought represented excellent value.
My son had chicken nuggets with rice, which he loved, for only €6.50.
⭐ FOOD EXPLORER VERDICT
Pirata is a great choice for families looking for good food, good prices and something to keep the children entertained.
Let's face it — taking young children to a restaurant isn't always relaxing! But somewhere like Pirata makes the experience much easier because the children have plenty to keep them occupied while the adults can enjoy their meal.
