Brazilian Dining Experience — Vilamoura Marina

If you're a true meat lover, this Brazilian restaurant near Vilamoura Marina is definitely one to put on your list. I’ve visited many restaurants over the years, but I have to say, the value for money here was exceptional.
One word of advice: come hungry! 😜
The Brazilian-style dining experience is essentially a feast that just keeps coming. The succulent, beautifully grilled meats arrive at your table one after another — and the supply doesn't seem to stop until you finally say, “Stop!” 😆
I must confess, I made a bit of a pig of myself that evening! 🐷😂 But with meat this delicious, who could blame me?
The selection was impressive, including tender pork ribs cooked to perfection, chicken, beautifully grilled steak wrapped in bacon, and a whole host of other cuts. The meat was wonderfully succulent and full of flavour, with that unmistakable Brazilian barbecue character.
And it doesn't end with the meat. Included in the price were a selection of sides, including rice, fried chips, black beans, fried banana, and a fresh tomato and onion salsa.
At the time of my visit, the complete experience was an incredible €27.95 per person, including the dessert.
By the time the grilled pineapple with cinnamon arrived, I honestly had very little room left! 😂🍍 But I couldn't resist. It was delicious — and, amazingly, it was also included in the €27.95 price.
⭐ A Great Option for Groups
Another feature that really impressed me was their private dining room. The restaurant kindly allowed me to photograph it, and it looked like a fantastic option for larger gatherings.
The room can accommodate groups of approximately 8 to 24 people, making it ideal for birthdays, celebrations, business functions or simply a big gathering of friends and family — with the Brazilian feast served privately to your group.
🍽️ My Verdict
This was a serious feast for meat lovers, with generous portions, plenty of variety and, at the time of my visit, outstanding value for money.
Come hungry, enjoy the experience, and be prepared to say “stop” when the meat finally defeats you! 😝
⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended for meat lovers.

If you're looking for a Brazilian-style restaurant in Quarteira with great food, excellent service and an ocean view, Sabores do Churrasco is a place worth discovering.

I visited the restaurant for an evening meal and from the moment I arrived, the service was excellent — friendly, attentive and welcoming without being overbearing.

And then came the food… 🔥

The selection of succulent, beautifully presented Brazilian-style meats was the highlight of my experience. The meat was full of flavour and cooked beautifully, delivering exactly the kind of Brazilian churrasco experience I was hoping for.

🍷 I was also paired with a lovely Merlot, which complemented the meal beautifully.

The atmosphere was another big part of the experience. With good music playing in the background, the ocean just outside and the relaxed Quarteira promenade setting, it created a really enjoyable vibe.

And to finish the evening… 🍮

The sticky toffee pudding was excellent — a delicious way to round off the meal.

ALXAMA RESTAURANT

FOOD EXPLORERS DISCOVERY — ALXAMA RESTAURANT

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Alxama Restaurant, near Aqua Show, and it was a dining experience that really stood out.

Alxama specialises in Madeiran-style meat, a traditional style of serving meat that is similar in presentation to the Brazilian rodízio concept — but with its own Madeiran character.

The experience is quite unique. Different cuts of meat and sausages are brought directly to your table on long skewers, which hang from above. A drip tray is placed underneath, and the meat is then sliced directly from the skewer onto your plate. 🥩

I was fortunate enough to enjoy the evening in a special dining area, where the skewers were brought directly to my table. I started with a good wine and then chose a Cartuxa Tinto, which paired beautifully with the selection of meats that followed. 🍷

The service throughout the evening was excellent.

The manager was incredibly welcoming and, knowing that I was there to experience and review the restaurant for Algarve Food Explorers, kindly invited me to enjoy the meal on the house. He also took the time to show me around the restaurant and explain everything Alxama has to offer.

And there is much more to discover.

🥩 Their own butchery: You can purchase some of their specially selected cuts of meat and take them home to enjoy yourself.

🔥 Steakhouse: Alxama also offers a selection of steaks and quality cuts for those who prefer a more traditional steakhouse experience.

🎶 Live entertainment: They also have outdoor entertainment on certain occasions, including live bands, adding to the atmosphere.

What I particularly enjoyed about Alxama is that it isn't simply about having a meal — it's an experience. From the unique Madeiran way of serving the meat, to the quality of the food, the wine, the service and the welcoming atmosphere, there is something different about the whole concept.

A big thank you to the Alxama team and the manager for the warm welcome, the excellent service and for taking the time to show me everything the restaurant has to offer.
